(Plus support with the whole application process to make you stand out and maximize BS/MD acceptance)
While your GPA and extracurriculars are very important for admission, the reality is that most BS/MD programs will look right over you without a good score. That's why the first step is to get you a competitive SAT score as soon as possible, so that you can focus on all the other aspects.
Unlike normal college admission, BS/MD programs have different admission criteria - they look for the student's interest in medicine specifically. From volunteering to shadowing and research papers, we create a path that will make the student stand out and show their passion for medicine. The SAT and GPA are baselines that every applicant has; extracurriculars are where we separate your student from the rest.
The harsh reality is that BS/MD programs are very competitive (even more than Ivy League's), and nearly every applicant has a nearly perfect GPA, SAT score, and a lot of extracurriculars, so how do you stand out amongst the crowd? By creating a passionate story. It's one thing to check all the boxes, it's another to go above and beyond. We help you with the whole application process, from picking the right programs, to creating attractive essays and resumes, and even interview prep, to make an irresistible story that will make it impossible for BS/MD programs to reject your student.
The harsh reality is that BS/MD programs are very competitive, and even students with perfect GPAs and SAT scores get rejected.
So what separates the ones who get accepted from the ones who don't?
It's about telling a story and standing out.
It's one thing to just "check all the boxes", it's another thing to separate yourself from others and stand out.
That's what allows some students to get accepted with a 1450 and others rejected with a 1600.
Don't get me wrong, it's still an important criterion to fulfill; in general, a higher SAT score still means a higher chance of acceptance, but it's not everything.
That's why we discourage students who score a 1560 to aim for 1600; the 40 score difference won't make or break your chances, your resume will.
In short, we focus on everything.
We help you get a great SAT score as soon as possible, and then we focus on all the other important things, like extracurriculars and similar.
And, of course, once you have all the steps completed, the most important part begins, which is actually showing it off.
It's like owning a business; sure, you can spend years creating the best product on Earth, but if you don't market it well, nobody will purchase it.
It's the same with BS/MD application; once you have all the stepping stones, it's time to show it off and tell a story.
We help you do that by creating attractive and compelling resumes, essays, and, of course, also preparing your student for interviews.
In general, BS/MD programs look for more medicine-related extracurriculars.
In essence, what they need to see is that the student really is interested in the medical field, and that they will still be interested after 7 years in the program.
BS/MD is the best of the best when it comes to medical education, so it makes sense that everyone wants to get admitted, which results in a very competitive atmosphere.
Practically speaking, that just means you have to take the process even more seriously, not just go through the motions, but tell a story that stands out and shows medical interest.
Show and prove to the program that you really are interested in medicine.
In short, we personalize every aspect of the program towards the student's needs, and we give you unlimited hours of tutoring to get you sufficient progress.
Everyone is different, that's why personalization and adaptability are very important.
Compared to the normal 1500 SAT program, the 1550+ also has a different curriculum, tailored more towards the difficult questions, and focusing mainly on the strategy and test-taking abilities of the student.

The 1:1 sessions have only 1 student. With other group sessions and bootcamps, we never surpass 3-8 students per class. t is important to keep the class sizes small as there is a lot of interaction during the class.
We maintain accountability through a combination of key elements within our program, These include:
-Live interactive classes
-Weekly 1:1 sessions
-Daily homework
-Weekly feedback
-Continuous access for parents to the founder of the program
These components create a structured and supportive learning environment that encourages students to stay on track with their studies and meet their target scores easily.
Troughout the process we make sure to always check work and communicate with the parents.
Our direct contact with students allows us to identify common problems and respond proactively. When they notice several students struggling with a particular subject, they organize specialized seminars and support sessions to address those needs.
At Kyo Standard, we believe that daily actions are the key to achieving long-term success. We make sure that students work on homework assignments every day, which encourages them to engage with our curriculum on a consistent basis. This not only helps to establish a daily routine but also reduces the anxiety they may feel about upcoming tests and exams.
We then track progress with our proctored exam, and readjusting if we do not see sufficient progress. We don't wait months, if there is no progress on a weekly basis we will take action.
